Many Bible scholars have used the seven churches in the book of revelation as symbolic of the various Church ages. Laodicea being the very last Church of the age. I do not necessarily hold to that view, but will not contend with it either. This Church is rich and thinks it has need of nothing, yet Christ calls them poor, blind and naked. The city of Laodicea had a famous medical school and it produced a then renowned eye-salve known as collyrium. Christ is using a metaphor here to tell the Laodiceans that they need treatment for their optical condition. A blind man cannot see where he is going. A man who has no oil for his lantern cannot see where he is going in the darkness. Both are effectively blind men stumbling in the dark. This is not a condition which indicates a soul that will be saved, but one that is still lost. In our times we are seeing so many things that Christ warned us about...

For the past few weeks I have watched the drama in Wisconsin unfold with interest and sorrow. I have listened to Labors supporters (mostly from the left) make a valiant effort to try and save the working man's last refuge of economic safety in our globalized world. I watched them lose. I knew they would, perhaps not this time around, but next time for sure. There was no way they could win in the long run. They slept too long. The same drama will play out in Ohio, Iowa, California, New York and elsewhere eventually. There may be some safe havens for public unions, but not many and unless something serious, really serious is done about America's growing imbalances and structural problems, even those will eventually go by the wayside. The working man just doesn't know it yet because for the most part, they still do not know the rules of the game.

Should The US intervene In Libya?

Given the prospect of a prolonged civil war in Libya and perhaps the stirring of greater unrest in Chad and possibly Sudan do I think we should intervene? Well, if I were advising the President I would tell him that military intervention should be firmly off the table unless the situation deteriorates considerably in the coming weeks and months. I do not think America is prepared for yet another military intervention in the Islamic world as the other two major interventions (not including our activities in East Africa) have demonstrated that the US could not reasonably be expected to bring order to Libya. Who or what would we put in place of Gadaffi? Who could we really depend on to bring and keep order? Another chapter of Western Neo-colonialism would not be welcome in Libya, not matter how 'humanitarian' it is advertised and I do not think the west has much to offer Libya in terms of a new political order.

Having done this site for over 10 years now I have come to some alarming conclusions about the state of modern Christianity in America. I have come to even more alarming conclusions about many of the so-called prophets, watchmen, teachers and other people on the internet claiming to be of God and working for Jesus Christ. Brothers, all I can say to you is to reiterate, please be careful. I have been in contact with some of these men over these many years and found almost all of them (there are some exceptions, like Brother Kato who has a powerful ministry) who leave very much to be desired. I can remember some of them were so angry with me when I started the 'Coming Economic Depression' series. One, who runs a fairly large site basically told me I was 'falling away' and that I needed to repent. Yes, I apparently he did not think men of God should read economic reports, bring them down to layman's terms and warn the people as to what was, did (and still is) coming. I received my divine directions from the Lord one evening back in 2004 when looking at some stuff on my spare time. The Lord just gave me two words. 'Warn them'. He did not tell me to just give them a bunch of scriptures, pontificate and show off my biblical knowledge, but to warn them of what was coming. So that is what I did. It was not a couple of months later that I got people telling me I was 'off' and they wanted me to feed their religious curiosity about the mark of the beast, aliens, the antichrist, the NWO and keep it within the narrow (and often heretical) confines of the American religious scene. They basically said, How dare you warn us of an economic disaster to come...

First and foremost America's economy is not structurally sound. It has not been since waning days of Ronald Reagan, who began the trend for massive fiscal deficits to pay for an ever expanding military machine. Granted in those day our spending was done at least partially to bankrupt the Old Soviet Union. It worked. But today we are heading in the exact same fiscal direction as the Russians and the result may be just as disastrous. Perhaps even more so. The Russians just like the Americans today, kept up Defense spending despite the collapse of its real economy. America is repeating the same mistakes. But today this major structural flaw is being defended by the President in the form of breaking another structural safety net that millions of Americans have been taxed for for decades. I speak here of both Social Security and Medicare and the Presidents move to attempt to short change retirees to pay for massive defense budgets is not only obscene, it is dangerous economics and could ultimately become an issue that challenges US social stability. People are not going to stand by and let their Retirements be stolen by the Defense industry. I do not care how many of Obama's advisors tell him he can get away with it. It is not going to happen. To put it bluntly, Americans are not going to be economically enslaved by the Defense industry. For now, most do not understand what is at stake. It is going to take a a bit of doing, but they are targeting the better informed portion of the population, older Americans. But how are people going to retire? People have paid into the system, planned on it being there, now when it comes time to retire they want to rewrite the rules so you can't? Folks that simply is not going to fly. So what they are going to do is create a whole class of Americans who (have been robbed) and have no purchasing power because the money originally put aside for them is going to Lockheed, Raytheon and Xe. Who is going to be able to buy anything? Granny does not need, nor can she afford a killer drone or an F-35 fighter aircraft. As far as folks who think they are going to get a retirement from their 401(k)? Don't make me laugh. You will not see it if you are under 55. Most of it has already been gambled away, there have been no rule changes so guess what, if it is not gone now, it will be. You can bet on it.

So while many of you come here for news only, you are missing so much of the background, Believe me.. and I am not going to put it in the news section, space time and yes, theft prevent it. So unless you already know that nuclear threats have already been issued and real haste is being made by very important global players to realign themselves away from the US, or why Russia is pulling out of the CFE treaty and is seriously considering selling its vast energy reserves in Rubles, or why it is not a stretch to see OPEC in the medium term do the same (rather than euro's or pounds) you should read this PESR and take a word of advice, stop reading news just to get your dose of gloom for the day, read and more importantly UNDERSTAND why these things are happening and just how soon the next war is and discover the likelihood of your looming impoverishment. Yes, it means that you will have to take some time and READ, not just skim material. Yes, it means you will probably have to use your printer (yikes!) and read it away from your computers. In this time of universal deception, paranoia, violence and hate and a thousand and one sites that feed into one of these or the other, I try to be the voice crying in the wilderness to show you the why, from a Political, Economic and Spiritual perspective. Our world is in deep trouble not just from the plagues, wars, famines earthquakes and the other troubles that are besetting it, but from the God who made it and is preparing the most devastating Judgments on our world that it has ever seen. Man will be on the verge of extinction when it is all said and done and be assured of this dear brothers and sisters, there will be nothing that will stop or even mitigate the fury that God has reserved for our wicked and unrepentant world. This wrath is not meant for nor will be be experienced by God's elect, for they have not been destined for wrath, but to obtain salvation. Let us who know our God take rest in this fact, that while there are many tribulations ahead for the saints. Let us note that we, those who love Christ and demonstrate that by obeying his commandments, will be thankfully spared the outpouring of God's wrath on this perverse, wicked and rebellious generation.
